In addition to relaxing Swedish massage, Sharon combines advanced certification in massage and personal training to help each client’s body find restored alignment, improved function and reduced pain. After a career in teaching, Sharon completed an Associates of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Health and Fitness and later an A.A.S. degree in Massage Therapy. She has taught Lifestyle Choices and Health and Senior Fitness Group Exercise courses at the community college level. She has also worked as a Personal Trainer in a gym setting and elsewhere since 2003 as well as practicing massage in a variety of venues since 2006. Sharon actively pursues further learning and has completed advanced certifications in Orthopedic Massage (Center for Pain Management), Clinical Exercise for Special Populations (American Council on Exercise CES), and Corrective Exercise (National Academy of Sports Medicine CES) in addition to many other short courses. There is always more to learn!
Both Sharon and David are nationally certified through the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and insured members of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA)
